@cwebber In general, I have no problem with pulping books, libraries do it all the time when weeding (think old copies of "Windows 95 for dummies" and the like). We scan books without destroying them, which is super time consuming, but we have already decided these books are important to keep.
But when libraries send books off for recycling, almost all check to make sure other libraries have a copy and they are not getting rid of something super rare, which these companies are definitely NOT doing.
