My experience with split mechanical keyboards is "expect jank". The cepstrum delivered jank. The keys were audibly rattle-y. One of the spacebars shipped basically un-lubricated from the factory, requiring me to buy some aftermarket Permatex and manually fix it myself, including the switch, the stabilizer, and the housing, which were all grinding against the edges. The tolerances were pretty wide, there were a ton of screws, the construction was plastic, there were obvious 3D printing artifacts.
