*) If I'm being cheeky, my favourite dinosaur is the common raven. But given the nature of the exercise, I think only animals you would have considered a dinosaur** when you were a kid count.
**) I will, for this reason alone, begrudgingly accept pterosaurs, ichthyosaurs and plesiosaurs as dinosaurs. But *not* the dimetrodon - even madness has limits!
