Max was born on July 4 and would have turned 17 today. He came into our lives as a kitten who began purring mightily when our kid picked him up, and he gave us 14 years of love: our sweet fur-child, goofball, little guy, tormentor of Sachi, seeker of heights, sun sponge, breakfast alarm, “fractious cage diver” (a story for later), nonstop rumble engine, constant companion, beloved friend.
Happy Max Day! The only reason to celebrate today.
