Bill Grueskin @bgrueskin.bsky.social: RIP Marcy Borders, who was working as a legal assistant in the north WTC tower on 9/11. This photo of her, enshrouded in toxic dust, would become an iconic image of that day. She died of stomach cancer, almost 14 years later, at the age of 42. Survived by a daughter and a son.
