I always find it interesting when the subject of kindness comes up in the context of the social web, because it usually highlights very specific perspectives associated with the term.
A privileged white cishet man often has a different notion of kindness when compared to a black trans woman working a minimum wage job.
But because the privileged white guy makes up the majority of “the social web”, he asserts his own standard of kindness and pushes it on everyone else.
