@pluralistic points out regularly that native apps are just web apps wrapped in enough IP to make defending your rights illegal "felony contempt of business model", but we should note the connection too.
Browsers that don't put up huge warnings if they are sending you to a native app cannot, definitionally, protect your privacy.
