The Month of Mending part 2: the green cardigan. This needs at least four repairs that I’m aware of. I committed and bought one of those little darning looms! Which is too little for the elbow hole. But look at my first practice patch, isn’t it darling?

Tiny darning loom on a piece of denim. The fabric has been pulled over a round piece of wood. On top is a metal plate with hooks that can be swiveled 180 degrees. The loom is warped with yarn going through the fabric at the bottom of the patch, up over a hook, back down and through the fabric, etc. It has strands of red, green, and majority white.
Tiny loom in use. Several white strands have been woven through horizontally and a long needle is just about to add a new one.
Finished patch with hand for scale. It’s square-ish and just a bit taller than a female fingertip.
Back of the patch. The outline of a wobbly square in tiny stitches. If this was a mend instead of practice there would be a hole under it.
