The thing about being woke is that it’s a total reconfiguration of mind and heart. It’s an actual awakening. Once you’re woke, you don’t go back to sleep. You’ve seen the world for what it is, and you can’t unsee that.
Someone who appears woke but later shows themselves to be otherwise? They were never really woke in the first place. They were lying, both to themselves and to others.
