i'm really unimpressed with how quickly academics seem inclined to throw *ourselves* under the bus with this "ai product supremacy is inevitable" bullshit. you realize this propaganda is part of the active political mission (which has been made quite explicit by certain people in power) to destroy public perception of universities and end the possibility of people like us having the lives and careers we have, right?? we don't have to lie down and take it.
