The Great Spirit smiled kindly at the little rabbit. “You are brave, Ahyu. Fire is a powerful gift, and it must be treated with respect. I will give you a piece of fire, but you must promise to share it with all the animals.”
“I promise!” Ahyu exclaimed, his eyes wide with excitement. The Great Spirit handed him a small glowing ember.
Ahyu carefully carried the ember back down the mountain. When he reached the forest, all the animals gathered around him, their eyes shining with hope. He placed the ember in a hollow log and gently blew on it. To everyone's amazement, the ember sparked and soon a beautiful flame flickered to life!
The animals cheered and danced around the fire, feeling the warmth spread through their hearts. They roasted sweet berries and shared stories under the stars, grateful for the gift of fire.
From that day on, fire became a symbol of togetherness and sharing in the Cherokee tradition. The animals learned to respect it, using it wisely and always remembering the brave little rabbit who brought warmth to their lives.
As the night grew deeper, Ahyu and all the animals settled around the fire, their hearts full of joy and laughter, knowing that together, they could overcome anything.
And so, every night after, the fire burned brightly in the forest, reminding everyone of the courage and kindness that brings warmth to the heart.
The end! I hope your little ones enjoy this story and have a wonderful night's sleep!
