Shoving everyone into the same space causes constant friction and unearthing/sharing of stuff that really shouldn't be. Every now and then there's a new "main character" of Tiktok, Twitter, and similar sites, and seeing people vaguepost about whatever the discourse is is like driving past the smoldering remains of a car wreck.
It's really exhausting.
