Hi, does anyone have experience with using #SpareRoom in #London?
I signed up to the app and am now getting inundated with people sending me messages about their rooms. This is a good problem to have (it makes it likely I can snap up something reasonably quickly) but I can't figure out which requests are worth following up on. I'm aware due to my autism and lack of familiarity with London I'm at risk at being taken for a ride (and I've dealt before with crappy landlords and houses etc, I don't want to repeat similar mistakes).
So: How can I tell a good offer from a bad one? How can I tell which rooms are worth booking viewings for? What are the red flags for scams (or even crappy housing that isn't technically a scam)?
