This insight is so true that it's upsetting to me; the entire industry is so OBSESSED with individual performance, with "meritocracy", that almost all the *actual* outstanding historic results achieved by this industry are quietly done behind the scenes by groups that are isolated in the lee of some budgetary stone, allowed to build a safe and harmonious group dynamic.
