I have a hard time sometimes in conversations with FOSS people about what making software that is accessible to non-programmers looks like, because sometimes people start talking to me about like features in obscure languages and packaging and distribution systems and so on, but in a workshop our lab ran recently one major blocker was "not knowing about the existence of the filesystem" and "have never seen a path as a string before and do not know how that relates to a file picker menu"
