It's very nice to be reminded that other people also think my job is important. I sometimes feel like most people forget librarians exist or that we're a bit of a relic, but 90% of the job is helping people to find and recognise reliable information, think critically about it, and recognise when they're being fed propaganda (or slop) and I can honestly think of nothing more important or sisyphean right now.
(Anyway, it's nice when people recognise it!)
