if you ever see the inside of a political party, you will be horrified that the popular, well-known politicians we all loathe are actually among the more sane and normal people in there. the unknown faces you don't hear about so much are a mixture of single-issue cranks, striving grand-theory havers, high-school-style-drama stirrers, and by far the most crazy type, the long-suffering and unrecognized workhorses who keep coming back day after day despite being treated terribly by the other groups
