Eventually, we must admit that, as a society, we're unfamiliar with the idea that brown people can struggle with mental illness, too.
Social media and the FYP chose—to no fault of their own—young, conventionally attractive white women to be the face of mental health because that's what the algorithm likes.
But we have an entire generation of Latino kids who are traumatized by our country, and when they get older, we'll demonize and lock them up.
