I saw posters this week that said, “If we lose, it will not be because we were outnumbered but because we were outorganized.”
The fascists have already figured this out. They realized they don’t have to agree about anything except their common lust for money and power and their loathing for other people. They don’t even have to agree on what they’re going to do with that power or who they hate. As long as they have that in common, they can disagree on damn near everything and work together to build a world in which only the fascists get a say. They’ll figure out the details later.
If we want to push back against ANY of it, we need to understand that it’s enough for two people to look at the bad thing and go “that’s bad”. They don’t need to 100% agree why or on how they’re going to push back.
And yes, there will always be people who are willing to chuck some other minority under the bus to try and win something for theirs. That’s bad. We need to push back on that.
But we also need to learn to work with people and not expect ideological purity.
