Reading up on the whole thing with AI in education and reading teachers and other educators wax poetically about what education is actually about really makes me realize they don't understands what happens after their grades are handed out. From a teacher's prespective a grade is simply feedback.

But, as a student it decided if I was reward or punished. It wasn't a tool to help me improve, it was a number I needed to maintain so I could see my friends and avoid getting grounded or a belt across my ass. It was a number that decided if I could graduate and earn a livable income or struggle with low paying jobs.
