It’s easy to hear this as a threat, but I don’t think that’s quite correct. It’s just…a fact. To the extent that there is some sort of wall between industry and government, between the market and the state, that is •protection• for the wealthy against violence.
When people don’t believe democracy can hold oligarchs accountable, that's when you get Luigi Mangiones.
When people don't believe that unions or labor law will realistically protect them, that’s when you get violent worker uprisings.
And when militaries believe that specific corporations are functioning as arms of other militaries, well, when Liza said.
Oligarchs now are drunk with consolidation of power, but aren't really thinking through the personal consequences.
