i have just learned that even recentish amd64 kit might not be able to handle subnormal floats without slow microcode.
you know how pext takes up to 290 cycles on zen 2 and it really pisses me off? well fdiv on some i7 can take over 600 cycles when it's in subnormal form!
wtf are we even doing?
