while we're all collectively talking about fair compensation for work, I'd like people to recognize that "well you should've made it easier to compensate you" is *also* very much the language of labour exploitation
and that this includes telling #FOSS maintainers that "they should sell support contracts" because "companies don't have processes for donations"
