The instrument is designed to look like a music note – the ellipse of the note is a flexible, hollow silicone piece with a snapdragon-like "mouth" that the musician manipulates to change the resonance of the sound; the stem is a logarithmic fretboard. The Kirby Omatotone is used for Amy Lee's melody, backed by Gudetama and Hello Kitty Otamatones. The background changes from sunsets to storms.
