Today I'm starting as the new Editor-in-Chief of @joss. I can only do this because of the journal's incredible community and the work we've collectively done over our first 10 years. I want to specifically thank @arfon for his leadership as the past/founding EiC and the AEiCs (@warrickball, @matthewfeickert, @samhforbes, @rachel_kurchin, @kevinmoerman, @kyleniemeyer, Kristen Thyng, and Chris Vernon) and editors for their trust. JOSS also wouldn't work without our tremendous group of almost 6000 reviewers. We're all volunteers who work together on JOSS because we believe in its mission to improve research software and its recognition, and to provide scholarly credit for its developers and maintainers, and I look forward to leading our community forward.
