This story has everything - the incompetent and nonetheless highly destructive LLM-driven company, the megacorp using the LLM company to do its dirty work while keeping its own hands clean (Microsoft), the misused and heavy-handed copyright system (DMCA), the sensitive point-of-failure software repository (forward slash weapon) ran by the other megacorp (Google, and its cruelly named "Play Store"), the volunteer-ran software repo keeping the whole thing afloat even though their existence is soon threatened (F-Droid), and the wonderful, creative, lovely open-source project in the middle of it all getting completely smashed!
Luanti is excellent, and I hope they get loads of new people jumping in to give the game(s) a try as a result of this vicious and unfair assault.
