In Youtube photo editing videos the "after" images are usually less interesting than the "before"
It's a constant drumbeat of removing one identifying detail after another and pushing the colours to look like every other photo out there
It might look polished but it also removes anything resembling the photographer's "voice"
Nothing wrong with basic photo editing—contrast, tone curves, colours, etc—but it feels like there's a relentless push towards making people's creative output more boring
