Its incredible the lengths people go to be unpleasant. If someone thinks you are being aggressive, but you don't think you are, "I'm sorry, I was not intending to be aggressive, I can not do that if it's coming across as aggressive" is right there.
(I am aware that this is not how it works, I am mostly making a joke about how being kind is often way easier)
