Okay I did not expect Oscar to fall in love with mc but a romance arc is a romance arc.

But I feel bad for Kaneeka... I was kinda hoping to romance her in this run

The dialog box says: Tip: Dialogue options marked (Romance) will start a romantic arc with the character you're talking to, and will lock you out of romance arcs with other characters. 1. (Romance) "Yeah, you can buy me flowers and invite me to dinner." 2. (Romance) "I'll be the one buying you flowers and inviting you to dinner." 3. (Romance) "Don't worry about all that. I just want to explore this while I still can." 4. "I'm sorry. I should go" 5. Turn around and leave.
