One of the most surprising things sbout reading Borsook's CYBERSELFISH today is how little tech has changed since 1999. The overall structure of corporations, the poor treatment of workers, the networks (snd i include the internet as well as social and economic) is today as-built in the late 90's.

CYBERSELFISH as history is incredibly useful. And, not to lessen her vision, its de facto prophecy (the result of her encyclopedic research) is enhanced by the ruthless extractive stasis of the vision of corporate america.
Also she's a great writer, it's manically energetic in every page, her insights and research are shockingly deep and broad, visible these 25 years later.
Her writing is sharp and super smart, but anti-snobby, and funny as hell.
And she calls out shits and creeps by name, and nails their crimes with fact. Its clear why she was blacklisted.
Another feminist woman fucked over and ignored. We can fix this now.
