The EU already demonstrated that EEA countries aren’t exempt from protectionist tariffs (they recently tariffed Icelandic and Norwegian silicon metals). So as global trade continues its ongoing crisis odds are we will get increasingly isolated as our trading allies turn protectionist one by one
I’m sure everything will get magically solved after the next US presidential election, though, and this all will turn out to have been a bad dream. 😝
