A windowing bug in the desktop I'd been using pushed me to look for alternatives. Not only did Cosmic not suffer from the same bug, but the default window management shortcuts are quite nice in both tiling and "normal" modes.

Window "stacks" let you create a single window where each tab is a *different application*, which is super handy when your workflow requires looking at X and (Y or Z).

A screnshot example of Cosmic Desktop window "stacks". The screenshot is just a thin slice covering the top of a window stack. Across the top are tabs for Librewolf, Steam, and Ghostty (in ~/code/iroh). The currently selected window for the stack is Librewolf, so below that, Librewolf's tabs are shown.
