This AI doomerism is completely misplaced. I hate AI. In its current form it’s inherently unethical. But I’m not afraid that it becomes conscious and wants to kill us all. What I am afraid of is that my doctor’s office is replacing the receptionist with AI and I can’t get through to a human when I need it most.
