on the one hand, I *am* going to be hiking in places where cell coverage is spotty at best along the coast & hills N of San Francisco.
on the other hand, I cannot help but wonder how much TSA is going to freak out at me having an amateur radio rig (an FM voice “handi-talk”) and supporting hardware in my carry-on bag.
I would love to hear about your experience, if you have taken ham radio gear through airport insecurity recently.
