In truth, the fact that people can and do "switch teams" is a huge piece of evidence for existence of implicit gender identity, whatever that might be and wherever it sits.
It is not fucking easy to call into question the team you were assigned by society at birth. Especially when you don't understand yourself what's driving you to do so.
