I dont really have the energy to respond to everything so I'll just say it here. If you want to bring about the utopia of anti-corporate free software that frees people from the info conglomerates, the billions of dollars and decades of work spent shaping expectations and patterns of computer use set the constraints that any strategy to get us there needs to respond to. Saying "people should simply wake up and want what I want and know what I know" is not a strategy because it does not respond to the constraints. It is just a wish that there were no constraints.
