What's interesting to me about this piece is large sections of it sound like a leftist analysis of current economics, but Kurtz is writing from a *very* right wing perspective; so he highlights the same problems a lefty might care about, but generally reaches opposite conclusions about etiology and fixes.

For example, he cites dysfunctional public schools as a loss of "social capital". A leftist might agree, and conclude the reason schools got worse is systematic conservative defunding… (1/3)
