the flip side of "not everyone can do X ethical thing because it requires privilege" is often "those who have the privilege to do X ethical thing should strongly consider doing so", both of those are often simultaneously true and part of the same thing
this isn't to shame; there is a budget we all have to allocate for how many ways you deviate from the default state of society, but improving things does mean being part of change yourself. you can do more than you know 💜
