It is, while completely expectable, still surprising to me that when I talk about software on here and particularly services like Github, all the replies assume I'm doing open source work only or primarily.
I do wonder if this shapes a lot of the thoughts about AI on Mastodon. It's a niche group. (Remember approximately 3% of developers contribute to open source!)
