I had a thought today inspired by a chat I had with a very understanding coworker who is a lover of LLMs -- they said, and I think they were being very reasonable, "I like solving problems more than I like writing code."
So now I'm thinking -- whatever co-op thing comes into existence, wouldn't it be nice if part of the mission was to make it enjoyable for those folks who have truly found LLMs an actual refuge from what they think of as toil?
Of course, I absolutely want to create a refuge for folks who love to write code. But I also want a space for folks who want to create without there having to be a huge amount of toil. So -- HEAVY investment in developer experience I think.
Since I'm a huge TDD/Refactoring fan, it's always been enjoyable to me, since I don't tolerate toil, and I refactor as soon as it gets bad. But not everybody appears to have that impulse?
Or something?
Wonder what that would look like?
