From the first their premise to being prophets of infinite possibility has been openly fraudulent. #ElonMusk actually got people to hating trains and public transport as general U.S. opinion. It was easy for him to defraud governments for his silly Hyperloop, and altogether too easy for Musk to escape what @SciAm and @ArsTechnica etc. should have been giving Elon Musk from the start: nonstop execration.
