I saw a comment recently start with "It's trendy now to hate on AI..." and thought that was really interesting.
On the one hand, they perceive the tide turning. Great.
On the other hand, they imagine it's just to look cool or something. Superficial. Rather than genuine, well-considered, criticism grounded in people's ethical orientation and other meaningful priorities.
It's fascinating to me that there are people who simply cannot imagine caring about the impact on others of our own choices and actions. Fascinating and also sad.
