Lack of separate Ctrl & Cmd seems like a deeper problem than just doing things differently. It halves available keyboard combos. It turns out I've been using lots more than just Cmd+C vs Ctrl+C.

If you want to bring about the utopia of anti-corporate free software that frees people from the info conglomerates, the billions of dollars and decades of work spent shaping expectations and patterns of computer use set the constraints that any strategy to get us there needs to respond to. Saying "people should simply wake up and want what I want and know what I know" is not a strategy because it does not respond to the constraints. It is just a wish that there were no constraints.
