Okay given that my platypus embroidery updates got such overwhelmingly positive responses on Fedi (and offline) I'm considering making #embroidery to sell.

I want to know how much I might be able to sell embroidery for. Fedi, what would your budget be for e.g. a hand-embroidered piece you saw online/in a crafts fair?

(Feel free to reply if you wish to add any further perspectives!)

I don't find workplace intervention arguments of the form "if only everyone would do my favorite best practice, everything would be fixed" persuasive, or indeed, full arguments. Regardless of the merit of the best practice!

To me, a successful intervention idea has to answer questions like:

- So why don't they already do the thing you say is so great? Why do its benefits fail to compete?
- Why is your thing going to convince others *now*, when they didn't do it before? What changes now?

🚨 AI GENERATED🚨

Here we are again with AI generated images not being labelled as such and being passed off as people's own photos/work.
@Jess.Stetson and I went through them because we were suspicious of the hot-air balloon one and it turns out more of them were generated than we expected.
Either label your shit as AI or even better, (and much preferred) STOP USING THEM ENTIRELY.
By not disclosing them as such, you are deceiving your audience and are taking away attention from people who have actually put the hardwork, time, effort and artistic vision to create their own original pieces.
This fucking sucks.

If you measure enough independent attributes, we all tend towards mediocrity.

Reminds me of a great study by the US military back during WW2 trying to find the "average" build to design their airplane cockpits to. After a significant amount of work gathering data from all across the country, they found that nobody fit the "average adult male" measurements they came up with, so it was better to make everything adjustable to fit any pilot than to aim for a static "average"
