Her last album, Rockstar, was so typically Dolly. When she was nominated for entry into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Dolly Parton declined the honour saying she wasn't a rock singer.
And then turned around and made an album of rock covers, collaborating with some of the greatest names in rock. Joan Jett, Steven Tyler, Richie Sambora, Stevie Nicks and many more ... all happy to appear just as featured artists on an album that even in her late 70s, showed off Dolly's expressive voice.
If you only know her from Jolene and 9 To 5, give this one a listen. She was truly great.

Dang, EVE is finally moving to Python 3. I hope this means we'll see Fenris (née CCP Games) as more of a presence in the community again, given that they'll be able to rejoin the modern ecosystem again.

No idea how I got this lucky thought!

this isn't even really just a skeptic concern. if I were an enthusiast who thought AI was actually really good, but I still cared about truth, this would also piss me off. it's hard to make a convincing case when every researcher that might have an interesting counterpoint to consider leads off by implying they are pulling their punches. this practically begs every skeptic to assume the evidence is MUCH worse than even the terrible reports we have!
I personally think there are plenty of places where AI _might_ turn out to be useful, or provides the appearance of utility. i tend to think a lot of that is misleading, illusory, or hypothetical, just because of the mountains of evidence of all of those things. I am absolutely _willing_ to be wrong on this but I do not need to *take it as read* that I am wrong while I am *gathering evidence* to try to understand whether I am or not
Like if you're doing a study on whether AI is actually any good or not, you don't need to, *in the abstract*, say, "clearly, AI is a huge opportunity, but…". No! It's not clear! If it were clear then you wouldn't be doing the science to figure out if it's actually a good opportunity or not!
I'm not really sure what the cultural and incentive context for scientists (whether CS, psych, or whatever) studying AI to always include a "to be sure" preface to their actual research. Almost nothing has been more depressing in my descent into pro-am AI Discourse than the _constant_ surrendering in advance

Dolly's 1992 appearance in HIV/AIDS ads was considered newsworthy because so many people were still bigoted at the time.
But her first fundraiser for HIV/AIDS research was in the mid 1980s before there were 10k US deaths. She was that connected to the queer community. She was that good of an ally.

The main idea was to have a high-end enclosure for the classic MNT Reform mainboard to give it a second life, but you can as well build an open hardware computer from the parts.
We're also publishing 3D printable versions of the cases, and there will be more photos and use case details in upcoming campaign posts.

I suspect heavy reliance on text generating tools could lead to a loss of identity. An inability to recognize yourself because your words are interchangeable with the words of everyone else.
