I love everything about it, and when I later learned they made that campy video, I loved it even more.

It wasn't directed at me, but I've been mulling it over. I think there really isn't underrated art. I think there's a lot of overrated art. In other words, some pieces of work (and their creators) become so outrageously famous as to be known by large swaths of people. Mostly by luck, like anything of that nature. Not that the overrated art in question *isn't* good, but just that you can readily find obscure work that is *just* as good, and there's a lot to find.

As long as creators have the means, we find ourselves awash in beautiful, meaningful, poignant, vibrant, awe inspiring art even though most of it will remain obscure. Obscure isn't necessarily bad (although I admit it can make it hard for artists to make a living in hellworld).

Anyway, it would be impossible for me to pick a most underrated work. I could just point in any direction and find something.
