Been cooking up a new bootstrap compiler for my little Forth machine: Enter The Turducken.

It runs an emulator for the Forth machine, written in Forth, on the machine and "cross-compiles" into it.
Want to produce an initial hex file before you have the computer working? No problem! There's also a CPU emulator written in Rust. It can run the recompiler and the emulator written in Forth. An emulator in an emulator, hence the name.

At this point, the term "AI" means:
• A marketing term encompassing everything from SVMs to LLMs as marketing needs it to expand and contract.
• Techniques for making convincing and/or entertaining NPCs in video games.
• An academic term used in 1955 to con grant agencies into funding CS theory.
• A eugenics-fueled and openly fascist "rationalist" cult.
• A distinct eugenics-fueled and openly fascist "rationalist" cult at war with the other one.

Besides, I have a feeling the Romulans always had access to frontier models with unlimited tokens.

in the RAF Fairford incident there was no explosive device, nobody was following these ppl, nobody knew anything was going on until one of the folks who got arrested called the police, President Bonespurs automatically lied about having knowledge of this event without having any actual knowledge, and Secretary Rubio lied to cover up for the lies from President Bonespurs.
did I miss anything?
There's so much vibe-coded shit being released every single day that installing a new project suddenly feels like volunteering for a clinical trial 🙄

This fucked up every single facial recognition program both the Mexican and US passport control areas to the point that agents for both countries had to pull me aside and verify my identity the old fashioned way.
So t-shirts with big faces on them don't work well with AI Facial recognition systems. Figured that would be interesting information around here.

Respect goes to people's labor, never their products. I like BSD, but I respect the developers because they have done the work to develop the expertise that merits the respect.
There is no reason to offer that respect to people who haven't done the work.
I have more respect for people who spent a Saturday evening failing to get code to compile, or trying to write a story that doesn't work, or struggling to get perspective right on a watercolor, than to anyone prompting an LLM.
