The anticipatory-based anxiety really did a number on my body, me thinks. Sleep deprivation led to poor eating which led to feeling worse. It's a snowball.
So, I'm going to reward myself by eating nutrient rich foods and drinking lots of water.
Ugh, I hate that I'm at the age where I must think twice before getting a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. 😭
But I'm grateful to have the resources too eat better, and so happy this shit is almost behind me.

I've been in a remarkably good mood today lol.
I'm starting to get what's called "shadow" headaches which is a very mild, almost neutral feeling where the cluster headaches normally occur. Also, tightness around the neck and a bit of "first bite syndrome."
These are good signs that this cycle is coming to an end and my cluster headaches will go back to hell.
Please enjoy jwz mixtape 259.

@alice @lrhodes I remember GNUsocial - was even told about it in about 2010/2011
A lot of it seemed to be "absolute free speech" which mostly consisted of anarchists and rightwing edgelords bitterly arguing at each other in English, German and Swedish all at the same time and it was quite frankly a hostile environment (even though I can understand German quite well) and no better than anything else available at the time, compared to modern Fedi the LGBT+ folk and furries built over the years (and wrestled away large parts of control from centrist techbros)
I know which kind of network I prefer...

Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you could forever wander the cold dark reaches of space. Or more likely, since it's actually hard to escape earth's gravity unless you are very deliberate about it, you could end up in a slowly decaying orbit around earth and eventually burn up in the atmosphere during an uncontrolled reentry. Or perhaps you'll just blowup on the launchpad. It's all good. Go for it!

Did y'all know that 70% of the funding for the Swedish Neo-nazi party Örebro, the funding that allowed them to go national, is all coming from the CEO of of #Mullvad VPN?
Here's a sample of the politician you're supporting by using Mullvad products:
Allard asked: "why won't the Liberals push for deporting 100 000 social welfare-Somalis?" and in the same debate said that "Sweden belongs to the Swedes. We have to make sure that we take care of our own damn people and we must deport these damn parasites who sit and live at our expense. [...] In a podcast segment about immigration and deportations Allard stated his opinion and said that "They will also be forced to leave, even if they are born in Sweden, because they have no natural connection to Sweden. They are not Swedish."'
There's a few ways to stop racists and fascists. The easiest one is to stop giving them money.

Defamation is when you when you make a false and harmful statement about someone. If the statement is true, that ain't defamation. It's not defamation if it's inconvenient or a bad look. It's not defamation if it's an uncomfortable truth. It's not defamation if it's aligned with a different perspective. It's only defamation if it's false.
It's OK to have different opinions about AI and its role in art and photography. It's OK to disagree on those topics. But don't waste our time with bogus reports. If you're gonna take other people's work and use AI to spruce it up and call it your own, you need to own that choice and its repercussions. People are going to strongly dislike it. They're going to call it out. And you need to take your lumps.

Today our moderation team received a report about one of our social.lol members. The report simply said "defamation" and offered no referenced posts or additional context.
So we did what we always do when we get a report — we investigate it carefully. We reviewed all of the recent posts (and even some older ones!) by the member in question. And all we found was that they called someone out for passing off "AI slop" as their own photography.
That is not "defamation". That's a public service. 🙌

The funniest thing about the #goose presentation is how completely it misses the whole point of the fable.
In the original story, the goose has been providing a steady stream of golden eggs. But the farmer gets greedy, and decides that if he cuts open the goose, he can get ALL the golden eggs inside the goose at once. But after killing the goose, he finds no eggs inside, and is left with nothing.
This is a story about the financial class, #AI, and the #Internet economy.
