If you've been through this (either side) I'd love to hear if there are any small tips you have for how to be there for someone going through chemo, daily "comfort" things that you discovered or that might be overlooked. Things to do that help make this time bearable, sustainable, just little joys of life.

I think the #Blitzortung forum is compromised. It's got this fake (but real-looking) captcha that'll sometimes appear, which tries to get me to run a malicious script. And upon further inspection, they're loading a very sus obfuscated script on every page load (that seems to call out to an external server and evals the response).

Very strongly feel this one. My previous employer wanted us to vibecode everything to move faster. But, they also made sure to emphasize that we were still responsible (accountable) for the output.

If I'm going to be accountable for code, I'd rather write it myself. I gain understanding as I write it, *and* can write it to be easier to read & maintain.

@LillyHerself Believe it or not, I do much of my regular browsing in a virtual machine that has no ad blocker installed. I do it to see how the other half lives and what new fresh hell there is out there. It's shocking how many blogs and "news" sites out there are pushing countless ads, videos, pop-ups, etc, so much so that if you let them all load the page is still loading new content a minute or two later. It's almost like the people cramming the sites with this junk never actually try to visit their own sites.

Gentoo Wiki's GNOME page is a guide. It's designed around Gentoo. It covers much of the same topics but when you read it from start to finish, you'll understand GNOME on Gentoo a lot better.
